Certified Water Treatment Plant Operator
The City of Willard, Ohio is accepting applications for a certified Water Treatment Plant Operator. The desired candidate should possess a current Water Treatment Plant Operator’s certification, passed the approved exam (Operator-In-Training), or must obtain Operator-In-Training status within 1 year. If no applicants are selected with a license or OIT status, an eligibility test may be required. The successful applicant will submit evidence of same with the application and must have the willingness to obtain the other certifications, upon request.
In addition to the credential requirements, the successful applicant must demonstrate enthusiasm, the flexibility necessary to work with multiple supervisors, an understanding that employment may require shift work, holidays and weekends, a commitment to teamwork, safety, and a firm understanding of the professionalism required to participate in our City workforce.
Summary of qualifications: Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license; must be a high school graduate or equivalent, with evidence provided with the application; must be a U.S. citizen and reside in Huron or any of the abutting counties, within six months of date of hire; must pass a background investigation, post offer drug screen, pre-employment physical, and physical agility test.
