INFORMATION
The City offers a general recycling program for Willard residents and the surrounding area. The recycling area is located at 7 B&O Pike East. We accept pre-sorted materials by bin type. The recycling area is open and unmanned 7 days a week from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The City also accepts some other materials from Willard residents only unless otherwise approved for recycling or proper disposal. These items will be accepted on the first Wednesday of every month with a manned session from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm or by special arrangement only. Some form of identification to verify Willard residency must be provided.

GENERAL RECYCLING MATERIALS ACCEPTED
BIN ONE: (Cans) Steel food cans and aluminum beverage cans (must be rinsed out, labels may be left on).
BIN TWO: (Corrugated cardboard) Boxes must be flattened.
BIN THREE: (Mixed paper) Newspaper, books, magazines, white or colored paper, please flatten noncorrugated boxes.
BIN FOUR: (Plastics) Containers that are marked #1 PETE and #2 HDPE they must be rinsed out and smashed please throw away the caps or lids in your trash.
METAL: Scrap steel, iron and other metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass.

TIRES: You first must pay for them at City Hall at the service desk and bring your receipt when you come to the recycling area. The tire recycling is for Willard Residents only. No Commercial tire recycling will be accepted.

YARD WASTE AND BRUSH: Brush, grass clippings, leaves, and miscellaneous yard waste. Please deliver to the compost pile located by the City Maintenance Garage (537 Central Ave.), Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We only accept biodegradable paper bags. Plastic bags must be dumped out and taken with you. For any related questions please call the Maintenance Department at (419)-933-7531.
USED OIL: Automotive and cooking oils, please deliver to the City Service Garage located at 4th and Central Ave., Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The company said it voluntarily joined the program to promote the responsible recycling of household appliances.
