The Willard Reservoir has a surface area of 199 acres at maximum water storage capacity of approximately 2.3 billion gallons. It’s maximum depth of 46 feet is located near the eastern shoreline, with an average depth of 26 feet, with a total of 2.3 miles of shoreline.
Persons using the Willard Reservoir do so at their own risk. The City of Willard assumes no liability for safety. Please be courteous and respectful to others to help enhance everyone’s recreation time! |

The reservoir serves as a vital recreational component for our community in many capacities. Activities are enjoyed by hundreds of people on a weekly basis that include walking, running, fishing, biking, and kayaking.
We applied for and secured a grant administered by ODNR for $150,000 to improve and safeguard the reservoir and the recreational opportunities it provides. In 2019 we accomplished the following improvements:
